Bryce Canyon National Park

This is quite a distance from Salt Lake City, but it is well worth the drive. You will get to see one of the most beautiful natural creations in all of the world, especially the hoodoos that are standing so tall. You can also do the Rim Trail, and then you can head back to Salt Lake City once you are done. Even if you decide to stay the night, there are always hotels available, allowing you to take your time and enjoy your stay. In addition to this, there is also Zion National Park and Arches National Park, all of which are natural wonders. The combination of seeing the Temple, and these beautiful places where you can do some hiking, will make you absolutely love the state of Utah.
